Chris Baker is
a Senior Vice President at Visa and leads the Retail team for North America. He and his team are
responsible for Visa’s strategy and relationships in the retail space, including partnering with retailers across
sectors on a range of topics to accelerate innovation and drive profitable growth together.
Chris joined Visa in
2019 . Prior to Visa, Chris spent 15 years with Oliver Wyman, a leading international
management consulting firm, where he was a Partner and co leader of the Retail and Consumer practice for
North America. In this role, Chris worked closely with his clients’ leadership teams on strategy development,
organization design, business transformation, commercial capability development, supply chain and operations
improvement, and technology development and enablement.
Chris holds a B.S.E. from Princeton University in Operations Research and Financial Engineering and a M.B.A
from the University of Iowa. He lives in Minneapolis, MN with his wife and three children.
Chris is a frequent industry commentator and conference speaker, including recent features in The Wall Street
Journal, Financial Times, and other leading publications and industry forums.
